Visit Biggest Japanese Shochu Factory

Our recent trip to #Japan was not only an opportunity to explore the rich culture but also to strengthen our relationships with our shochu producing partners. Japan, the home of this exquisite distilled beverage, welcomed us with hospitality and a deep understanding of the traditional art of shochu making. Joining us on this trip to Japan was Mrs. Marsha, a M&A and Financial Advisor from Tennessee USA, author of several best-selling #financial books on Amazon, and the Queen of a town in Africa with large mineral reserves. Iichiko Shochu Distillery is one of the largest and most famous shochu producers in Japan, under the Sanwa Shurui Co., Ltd. Iichiko is especially known for its high-quality barley shochu (mugi shochu). Iichiko shochu's nickname is "Downtown Napoleon", implying the high quality of a famous brandy but at an accessible price. Iichiko has received many prestigious awards at international spirit competitions such as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the International Spirits Competition. The visit was not only about learning about the production process but also about building cultural bridges. We had in-depth conversations with shochu experts, discussing market trends, development potential and ways to bring Japanese shochu closer to international consumers. Their dedication, passion and pride in the product were truly inspiring.
