Safety Tips on Luxy

Your security on Luxy is very important to us. Community Guidelines have been created to ensure a friendly and secure atmosphere on our online platform. However, we encourage all Luxy members to take safety precautions when interacting with each others. While it’s interesting and thrilling to meet new people we want to remind all Luxy members to give and share personal information online only with common sense.

1. Be Careful When Sharing Personal Information

Your phone number, address, and other private information about your life belongs only to you. Consider keeping personal data and social media accounts to yourself until you are sure you can trust the person you just met online. We recommend to only share phone numbers and social media accounts once you know each other better.

Never share personal addresses or other private information with a person you only met online.

2. Never Share Financial Data & Do Not Send People Money

There's never a reason to share financial data such as bank or online payment details, even if you trust a particular person. If someone asks you for your payment information (e.g. bank details, credit card number), or openly requests money from you, don’t send it. Instead, report this profile immediately and add it to your personal blocklist so they cannot send you any more messages on Luxy.

3. Report Suspicious Profiles

Beware of profiles that are not verified and seem to be fake, requests for money, people claiming to be "out of the country" and in need of financial assistance, or other hardship stories and other personal stories that simply don't add up. People who ask to chat on a third party platform or request your phone number in the first message should be approached with precaution.

Report such profiles to Luxy staff directly. There is a team of moderators who constantly check reports and remove profiles that violate Luxy’s terms, guidelines or seem to be dangerous for our community. All reports are completely anonymous. Reported users will never know if and by whom they are reported.
